Size: approximately 6in. x 40in. Materials Ty-Dy Socks (100-gr/436-yd, 80% wool/20% nylon): One cable needle (cn)
Needles: One pair US size 5 (3.75mm) knitting needles, or size to obtain gauge
GAUGE
Note: Directions are given for an optional keyhole opening.
SPECIAL ABBREVIATION
Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7: K5, (p6, k6) 4 times, p6, k5. Rows 2, 4, 6 and 8: K5, (k6, p6) 4 times, k11.
Row 10: K5, (6-st cable, p6) 4 times, 6-st cable, k5. Rows 11 and 13: Rep Row 1. Rows 12 and 14: Rep Row 2. Rep Rows 1–14 for Reversible Cables pat. If working optional keyhole opening, work until approx. 9 in. from beg, ending after Row 10. Dividing Row: Work in est pat across 32 sts; turn, placing rem sts on holder. Work on this side only through next rep of Row 9. Place sts on holder. Place other side sts back to working needle and work to match first half. Joining Row: Work across sts on needle and sts on holder and resume pattern. Cont until you’ve used most of your yarn, reserving enough yarn to work bind off row. BO all sts. Weave in ends.
