Brand: Baaubles
The Look Whether you are using exquisite cashmere or plain cotton, this set of bejeweled stitch markers is just what you need to count off stitches. The color coordinated natural stone, crystals and beads sparkle against the yarn. These little baaubles are your private reward for completing another round or pattern repeat. Dress up your knitting with a set of these practical but lovely little indulgences.
The Feel Don’t fear snags or rough edges. Painstakingly handcrafted, Baaubles won’t endanger the yarn. Each coil is tightly and perfectly wound; the rings close tightly with no loose edges, and the jewels are tightly strung. These markers will slide along just as easily as their simple plastic cousins, but with a lot more glitz and glamour. They are surprisingly lightweight, too. These tiny treasures won’t weigh down your knitting.
Applications Baaubles add a little fun and a lot of luxury to your knitting. They are jewelry for your knitting. These out of the ordinary little markers are so much more appealing than the run of the mill little plastic rings, coils, and pins. Yes, you could use the utilitarian models or even just tie bits of yarn to mark off stitches. These small pleasures will adorn your knitting and give you a visual treat, too.
Color Range Baables are available in 5 color ranges of carefully selected little stones, gems, and beads. Each Baauble is different from the next, so you can select a different stone to mark each section of your knitting. Or, you can get more than one color range and use color to demark the pattern changes.
What I'd Like to Use it For It’s probably a little too obsessive to color coordinate stitch markers with each project, but it’s certainly a tempting concept with Baaubles. I’ve tried my hand at making bejeweled stitch markers. After purchasing three specialized tools and lots of supplies, I had to master the art of handling tiny beads and wires. Hat’s off to Baaubles for a very well made product of quality materials. You don’t have invest in a kit full of surplus materials when Baaubles are readily, and beautifully available.
Knitting Outside the Box You can adorn more than just your knitting with Baaubles. String them on ribbon, lanyard or cord to create an instant necklace or bracelet that’s practical as well as beautiful.
Care Baaubles come conveniently gathered on a large safety pin that converts into a secure storage device. When not in use – as if that will ever occur once you try Baaubles – gather them together and pin them securely to the inside of your knitting bag. Or, be bold and pin them to the outside of your knitting bag!
Durability Beautiful objects are often fragile and delicate, but Baaubles won’t disintegrate, crack or break. They are nicely counter-balanced and slide easily from needle to needle. They won’t go flying off the needles and across the room like the plastic version sometimes will. They’re really quite sturdy. Overall Recommendation Baaubles may be just the little treat you need to drag you out of winter doldrums or spark your interest in that stalled project. These small treats are a delight to the eye and a simple pleasure. They’re the perfect gift for any knitter – or yourself. Baaubles rate a 10.
